This Longfu Garden restaurant had been sitting in my bookmarks for a long time. This time, some friends came over, a group of about 12, and I finally found the chance to try it. To be honest, the location is really “hidden”—you have to turn off the national highway and wind through the village for a while. But as soon as I drove in, I felt relieved: the parking lot was completely full. Those in the know understand—without real skill, you can’t keep so many repeat customers.
We ordered almost all their signature dishes this time, and the overall quality was very consistent. The biggest surprise was their tea-smoked chicken—the heat was just right, the meat tender and full of chicken flavor; the sea urchin mushrooms were fresh and straightforward, not fancy but made with real ingredients; the Shunde shredded fish soup was also impressive, with a delicate texture and clear layers of flavor that grew more enjoyable with each sip. With a large group, we had plenty of options, and the value for money was quite high—no misses, easy to share, especially suitable for friend gatherings and family dinners. In a word: the location is remote, but it’s a solid restaurant worth taking a detour for.
