Wuzhou Sluice Gate「乌洲水闸」

Review

I just bought a new car and camping gear, and I wanted to find a place to try them out as soon as possible. I chose a campsite about a 20-minute drive from Pingzhou, Foshan. It was very convenient to drive there.

This is a large open grassland with a river nearby, offering a relatively comfortable view. The terrain is flat, making it great for beginners to practice setting up tents and arranging tables and chairs. You can also drive your car close by, which is quite friendly.

However, in terms of “wildness,” it’s not particularly pristine; it’s more of a light camping site. It doesn’t have that deep mountain and forest feel, but it’s convenient and safe, making it more reassuring for families or children.

Overall, it’s average—decent scenery, suitable for a short weekend getaway. For those who just got their gear and want to practice, it’s a good transitional campsite.
