Today my mother-in-law gave me a family card, so I took the opportunity to visit Sam’s Club (Liwan Store). It’s only about three kilometers from Pingzhou, so it was a quick drive.
It happened to be Labor Day, so there were a lot of people—the crowd density was very high, making it a bit overwhelming to shop. I took a quick look around the first and second floors. Overall, the prices weren’t as competitive as I expected, and many items came in large packages, more suitable for family bulk buying.
On the other hand, the deli section was a pleasant surprise. Items like pizza and burgers, made fresh, offered good value for money and are worth a special trip.
As for other products, honestly, there was no significant price advantage. Many similar or cheaper options can be found on Pinduoduo or Taobao.
Overall, it feels more like a place for “bulk shopping + occasional deli visits.” If you’re just doing everyday budget shopping, it may not be the best choice.
