Review

Today I passed by Raffles City and saw an immersive experience project similar to Disney’s ‘Soarin’ Over the Horizon’, so I went up to the 5th floor to try it. I’ve played similar projects before, so I have some comparisons.

Of course, it can’t compare to ‘Soarin’ Over the Horizon’ at Shanghai Disneyland, as the mall’s ceiling height and space are limited, so some flying and diving scenes lack the sense of height and pressure.

The content is mainly immersive visuals made with 3D game engine, combined with seat motion and surround visuals. The overall experience is actually quite good, especially for first-timers, who should find it quite fresh.

However, after finishing, I felt a bit dizzy, probably because the visuals moved fast and the immersion was strong. If you’re prone to motion sickness or VR sickness, I suggest not doing it on an empty stomach or for too long.

Overall, as an entertainment project in a mall, it’s worth a try. If you haven’t experienced this kind of ‘flying theater’, you can come and feel it.
