Review

Recently XPeng released the GX, and I’ve been wanting to check it out. Since 2026, everyone has been competing in the “executive long-wheelbase SUV” segment. I’ve already seen the NIO ES9, Zeekr 9X, and AITO M9. The XPeng GX is often called the “Guangzhou Range Rover,” so I was quite excited.

To be honest, the launch price is really attractive—the top trim is only around 300,000 RMB. After experiencing it, many features feel close to Zeekr’s 500,000-level models, and it offers better value than the ES9. It’s really tempting.

I think it has a few advantages over the ES9 and 9X. First, the third row can be completely folded flat, making the trunk huge and very practical. Second, each seat has its own independent sound zone, so people can watch TV, listen to music, or play games without disturbing each other—a clever design.

Other features like zero-gravity seats, dual-chamber air suspension, linear steering, and smart driving are now standard in this segment. But the 22-inch wheels on this XPeng are truly imposing, and the floating logo in the center is stylish.

Overall, I’m really impressed. I think my next car will likely be this kind of executive SUV.
