Today, five of us drove to Nanning. After settling our luggage, we couldn’t wait to find an authentic Guangxi restaurant. After browsing Dianping, we chose the well-reviewed Yao Wang Fu, just a ten-minute walk away.
When we arrived, we found there was a queue, which actually gave us more confidence—the popularity spoke for itself. The ambiance had a bit of ethnic flair, and the atmosphere was quite distinctive.
A small hiccup occurred when a trainee waiter forgot to place our order, and we waited quite a while before noticing. Fortunately, the restaurant manager handled it promptly, apologized immediately, quickly re-placed the order, sped up the cooking, and even proactively offered several of their signature dishes as compensation. The attitude and efficiency were on point.
Overall, the food was of good quality, the flavors were quite authentic, and although the service had a minor flaw, the remedy was appropriate, showing sincerity. It’s a Guangxi restaurant worth revisiting.
