I brought my child to climb all the way from the bottom to the top. It really required some physical effort, and we took several breaks along the way. The steps go up layer by layer, and it’s hard to say it wasn’t tiring, but when you stand at the top and look back, you feel a great sense of accomplishment.

The Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum is very solemn and magnificent overall. The building axis is straight and symmetrical, and the blue tiles and white walls look particularly grand under the sunlight. Climbing step by step is both a physical test and a kind of ritual. Completing the climb with a child is even more meaningful—it exercises the body and lets them experience a piece of history.

If you have enough time, I suggest taking it slow, not rushing, and taking more photos along the way. Overall, it’s definitely worth a dedicated visit.
