This Yiliu BBQ is a long-established barbecue joint in Pingzhou, having been open for many years. It’s run by a husband-and-wife team, basically the two of them doing the grilling, and it looks quite hard work.
Overall, their ingredients are decent—items like tilapia and chicken wings taste fresh, and the flavor is consistent. Of course, some ingredients are frozen, so the overall texture is average. Compared to places that focus on fresh ingredients, there is a bit of a gap.
However, price-wise, it’s quite affordable. If you want a simple barbecue meal on a regular day, this place is fine. Given the current economic climate, it’s worth supporting these long-standing old shops. I hope they keep improving and their business thrives.
