Today I originally planned to go with a friend to “May Ersi,” but their soup rice noodles stop serving at 4 PM, so we had to switch to this place last minute.
I occasionally come here too. The overall quality is slightly lower than May Ersi, but the flavor difference isn’t huge—both are fairly typical Yunnan rice noodle style. The rice noodles are quite chewy, not soft like regular rice noodles, and have a distinctive texture. The broth is also light and refreshing, with a bit of umami, and not greasy overall.
It’s not particularly amazing, but as a simple everyday meal, it’s acceptable. If you’re passing by and craving Yunnan rice noodles, you can give it a try—no risk of disappointment.
