Review

Today, I specifically came to check out this Michelin-recommended old restaurant. Our group of seven ordered eight or nine dishes, basically trying all the signature items.

This restaurant has been open for over forty years. I was lucky today to meet the founder. According to the boss, she started running the restaurant at age 36 and has been doing it until now, in her eighties. This dedication is truly admirable.

What surprised me even more was that many of the signature dishes were developed by the boss herself through trial and error, not by learning from a master. So the flavors are different from many Sichuan restaurants, with their own unique characteristics.

The dishes we ordered were almost all hits, with rich layers of flavor. They don’t just pursue spiciness blindly; each dish has its own personality. The more I ate, the more memorable they became. Everyone agreed that there’s a reason this restaurant has been operating for over forty years and still maintains such high popularity.

If you’re visiting Panyu and want to experience a truly representative old brand, this restaurant is worth a special trip. You won’t be disappointed.
